I know it’s been a very long time since I’ve done any updating on here, but well all know how life works, it’s too busy! What gave me the idea to update you ask? People who are disgusting me with their hatred. I cannot believe the things that I have both witnessed and heard about. Just because you do not agree with homosexuality does not give you the right to commit hate crimes towards people! Yes, they are just that, hate CRIMES! It doesn’t matter if it is as simple as calling someone a fag vs. beating them up based upon their sexuality. It’s all wrong and should not be happening in our society at all. More specifically schools, they are meant to be learning tools for teenagers to develop their outlook on life. What does it tell you when you see people spitting at someone based on their sexuality? It says that they are lower in society, and don’t deserve the respect you would give to someone like your mother or a teacher. That’s disgusting!
The there are the people who just sit there and watch it happen thinking that it’s alright, and perfectly acceptable. It’s not alright by any means and you are just as much at fault for not saying anything. How people can live with them selves knowing that things like this have happened and they did absolutely nothing to stop it is beyond my comprehension. It’s never too late to say something, just think of the people who are going through what they did.
I’m not preaching gay rights to anyone, and I’m not showing bias to anyone, and I am by no means saying that if you don’t believe in gay rights you are wrong I am simply stating that hatred crimes based on someone’s sexual orientation are wrong. It doesn’t matter if it’s against your religion, beliefs, or motto! It’s hurting another human being simply because you don’t understand, or like they way that they feel towards others. Would you ever see a homosexual person beating up someone just because they didn’t like people of their same sex? Sounds funny doesn’t it? Because you know it would never happen, all because it just happens to be that homosexuals are not in the majority.
